The Office of Student Engagement (OSE) helps students make intentional decisions about their involvement, both in and out of the classroom, for a more meaningful Smith experience. Mission
The mission of the student affairs division is to support and direct student learning and development, contributing to student's individual achievements. The members of the division collaborate and cooperate to shape student experiences and assist in providing a meaningful and healthy undergraduate education.
The office provides a variety of services, programs and activities. The student affairs departments—office of student engagement, first-year student programs, health and counseling services, international students, multicultural affairs, residence life, wellness and the dean of students—collaborate to ensure a meaningful and healthy venture for all students. Student affairs staff members employ nationally recognized best practices to meet the unique needs of Smith students.
Guided by the mission of Smith College, the office recognizes Smith's historic commitment to the equality of women; embraces the liberal arts tradition of educating the entire person; promotes the achievement of excellence in all student endeavors; fosters personal independence tempered with community responsibility; and commits to preparing students for lifelong learning, leadership and service in a diverse and global society.

Mission
Unity, Solidarity, and Opportunity, founded in 2023 under the Office of Student Engagement,
is a student-run organization whose purpose of this organization shall be to create a space for
Undocumented students on campus. We shall work to amplify the voices of Undocumented
experiences as well as advocate for them. This club shall promote inclusivity regardless of status

Membership Benefits
We welcome all kinds of irregular legal status students including TPS, asylum seekers, DACA, etc. Meetings for allies and internal members will be held together or separately throughout the semester depending on the event planning of internal members
