<p>Smith Run Club is a non-competitve running club with shorter (1 mile) and longer runs (10+ miles) open to those of all running abilities! &nbsp;</p>
<p>Members can choose to participate in local 5k (3.2miles), 10k (6.4 miles) and half marathons (13.1 miles) such as Fall Foliage and Cider Run at Amherst College, Hot Chocolate Run at Smith College, and Dash and Dine at Umass Amherst! SMIRC members participate in intercollegiate races.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Fun Run is a great way to get some exercise, explore the area, and meet new people.</p>
<p>Come one, come all, whether you're a beginner or a seasoned runner! We aim to enjoy the outdoors and explore the area while appreciating each other's company. We help you reach your goals to become a healthier and happier person.</p>

Mission
We are Hell's Belles Fencing, Smith College's resident fencing team! We hold practice four days a week and participate in regional competitions with both club and varsity teams. We are open to all levels of experience from "I've never touched a sword" to "I teach it."

As a club sport, we hold practice throughout the academic school year as well as over J-Term. While we encourage our fencers to participate in competitions and practice outside of Smith, nothing is mandatory (save for dues and forms). We are coached by head coach Zeno, and assistant coaches Aurora and Tim.
We practice in Scott Gym at the following times:
Monday 7 PM - 9 PM
Wednesday 7 PM - 9 PM
Friday 5 PM - 7 PM
Saturday 10 AM - 12 PM

Practice 4 times per week and weekly team lift. Members can also optionally participate in competitions and team bonding events.

Ultimate Frisbee is more than just a fun sport, it's an <em>experience</em>, and Luna is here to take you on a journey to discovering just how much one person can love a sport. You'll reach new highs as you jump for the disc! New lows as you hit the ground in amazing layouts! New horizontal excellence as you sprint down the field for the score! Come see what the coolest people on campus spend their time doing...
Join us on the fields where 4-5 days a week we run, throw, catch, and learn to perform other such athletic feats (and look cool doing them!). On the weekends we adventure to exciting East Coast locales including Vermont!, Maine!, Connecticut!, and other parts of Massachusetts! for exhilarating tournaments where we test our skills against other teams (and sometimes get them to dance with us).

This organization provides the opportunity for interested Nordic skiers to learn, or continue to build on their technique. There will be opportunities to race both at the collegiate (USCSA) and community level as well as recreate on campus and at Notchview ski area in Windsor, MA. This club will promote a positive community and love for the outdoors as well as a growth mindset in nordic skiing, all while representing Smith College. This club is currently open to 5 college students.

<p>Smith College Synchro is a club sport. As a club, we left behind the formal, old-school style of the sport and created a joyful splash-friendly synchro style that focuses on inclusivity. We are the oldest club on campus, recently celebrating our 100th anniversary!</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>While we do not go to competitions, we do put on an incredible show at the end of each semester! Each show has a unique music theme and is open to the public. We practice once a week as a full team, Thursdays from 7-9 PM, and once a week in separate groups, Tuesday or Sunday. We do warm-ups together, both on land and in the pool, and then work on our choreography. You will learn the basic sculls (swim strokes) that we use to move around, eggbeater (synchro version of treading water), how to hold your breath underwater for a while, and a variety of cool moves to practice, like helicopter, crane, and pinwheel. You will be surprised how much you can learn in a semester- most of our swimmers had never done synchro before college! We hope you join our family!</p>

Members attend practices two times a week and participate in the showcase each semester. Synchro is both a great way to get some exercise in as well as express your creativity! Synchro is also a great way to meet other Smithies.

The Smith College Cheer team is a competitive team and sideline cheerleading team that supports Smith College athletics as well as the Smith and Northampton communities by appearing at home games and various community events. We strive to create an inclusive environment focused on bettering both individual and team strength, tumbling, and stunting skills that supports the physical and mental health of our members. While many of us have a background in dance, cheer, or gymnastics, we welcome new members without prior experience who are enthusiastic and come ready to learn! Smith Equestrian encompasses both the competitive hunt seat team and the non-competing club riders. We are a diverse group of Smithies ranging in experience from beginners to advanced riders. Some team members have been riding their whole lives, and some started their riding careers with Smith Equestrian. Our team members have ridden in equitation, show jumping, dressage, western, saddle seat, and everything in between.
Whether you major in Classics, SWAG, Engineering, Astronomy, or any of Smith's 50 majors, you can compete with the team while still pursuing a rigorous academic experience. Additionally, our team members work in labs across campus, volunteer locally, are part of musical ensembles, are gold key tour guides, and even have time for classes!
At the barn, at shows, and around campus, we strive to build a positive community of horse people. We value the welfare of our horses, self-improvement, and we foster an inclusive, supportive team.

<p>Smith College Ice Hockey is an organization that is dedicated to learning and playing the game of ice hockey. The club is composed of members from the Smith community who have a passion for the game and who want to be part of a team. The club practices 2 times a week on ice and 2 times off ice with games around the New England area on weekends. Smith College Ice Hockey is a member of the Berkshire division of the Independent Women's Club Hockey League. New and experienced players alike are welcomed on the team. The competitive season runs October through February.</p>

The Smith Rugby team is made up of players from diverse experiences at Smith College. We think of ourselves as a family more than a club and we are dedicated to learning from and with each other as we play the great sport of rugby. <p>Squash is a fast-paced indoor racquet sport and Squash at Smith is the perfect club for making new friends, learning an exciting game, and meeting Squashers from other colleges. We have weekly practices and build community through team dinners and social events. With us, you'll be able to compete against other Squash teams.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Don't worry if you don't know how to play yet, most of us didn't when we started. We are open to all skill levels &amp; class years, it's never too late to start squashing! Many Smithies who join Squash make friends that last for a lifetime-- we can't wait to see you on our courts!</p>

We're the Smith College Swim Club! We swim together every week and have a blast. Anyone is free to join regardless of skill level or past experience. We meet in the Dalton Pool which is located on the lower level of the Ainsworth Gymnasium.
